Azerbaijan resumes cherry exports to UAE

Azerbaijan exported 1,040 tons of sweet and sour cherries, valued at $1.31 million in the first five months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, the exports rose by 62 percent in volume and 78 percent in value from the corresponding period of 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 1,035 tons (+62%) of cherries to Russia for $1.3 million (+78%), 4.1 tons (+3.4 times) to Kazakhstan for $4,400 (+7.3 times), and 0.01 ton to the United Arab Emirates for $300.
After a hiatus of 1 year and 7 months, Azerbaijan resumed the export of cherries to the UAE.
