Azerbaijan resumes cheese supply from Switzerland

Azerbaijan imported 3,092 tons of cheese (+0.2%) worth $12.711 million (+13%) in January-June of this year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 1,138 tons (+36%) of cheese worth $2.1 million (+42%) from Iran, 359.5 tons (+15%) worth $1.95 million (+30%) from Lithuania, 320 tons (+8.5%) worth $1.783 million (+22%) from Germany, 200.4 tons (-15%) worth $1,252 million (+2%) from Belarus, and 193 tons (-51 %) worth $1.22 million (- 24 %) from Türkiye.

Azerbaijan has resumed the supply of cheese from Switzerland (0.05 tons worth $1.3 thousand) after 3 years.

In 2022, 15.3% of cheese worth $25 million imported to Azerbaijan (from 31 countries) came from Lithuania, 14.2% from Türkiye, 13.5% from Germany, 12.7% from Iran, and 10.2% from Belarus.
