Azerbaijan refunds over 94M manats of VAT to consumers

In January-June 2025, the amount of VAT paid for goods purchased from individuals engaged in retail trade and catering activities in Azerbaijan (excluding oil and gas products, cars, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), as well as for medical services provided by medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice, refunded to individuals through authorized banks amounted to about 94 million manats ($55.29 million), Report informs, citing the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy.

In January-June, the amount of VAT refunded from the state budget to foreign citizens for goods purchased in Azerbaijan for personal consumption amounted to 4.89 million manats ($2.88 million).
