Azerbaijan records 15% decline in revenues from sugar exports

Azerbaijan imported sugar and sugar confectionery worth $29.029 million in January-February 2022, up 37.1% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
In the reporting period, the exports of sugar and sugar confectionary amounted to $4.243 million, 14.5% less than a year earlier.
The expenses on sugar exports accounted for 1.5% of total import expenditures, while the revenues from the sugar exports constituted 0.1% of total export revenues.
