Azerbaijan more than doubles methanol exports to Türkiye

Azerbaijan exported 117,481 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $22.8 million in January-March 2024, respectively, up 18.2% and 6% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 30,761 tons of methanol (2.4 times more than a year ago) to Türkiye worth $5.9 million (+2.5 times), 22,696 tons to Israel worth $4.3 million (no delivery a year ago), 18,575 tons (+2.3 times) to Slovenia worth $3.65 million (+93%), 18,551 tons (-31%) to Italy worth $3.55 million (-40%), 16,550 tons (-11%) to the Netherlands worth $3.3 million (-17%).
