Azerbaijan more than 5 times increases flour imports from main supply market

In the first two months of this year, Azerbaijan purchased 4,415 tons of wheat flour from abroad for $1.512 million.

According to the Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, imports increased by 4.4 times in value terms, and 5.5 times in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, 4,411 tons of products were imported from Russia for $1.51 million, from Turkey - 2.26 tons for $2,550, from Germany – 650 kg for $890, from Ukraine - 1.01 tons for $760, from Italy – 340 kg for $750.

Compared to the previous year, deliveries from Russia increased by 5.6 times and 4.5 times, respectively, from Turkey - by 64.4% and 37.8%, from Germany - by 52.2% and 43%, from Ukraine - by 54.1% and 54.8%, from Italy - by 3.4 times in value terms and 3.4 times in quantitative terms.
