Azerbaijan increases spendings on pharmaceutical imports

From January through March 2022, Azerbaijan imported pharmaceutical products for $163.37 million, 44.3% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
During the reporting period, the monetary value of pharmaceutical products exported by Azerbaijan amounted to $0.366 million, 30.7% more than in the same period last year.
In the first three months of 2022, imports of pharmaceutical products amounted to 5.58% of Azerbaijan's total imports, while export earnings accounted for only a negligible part of the total export earnings.
