Azerbaijan increases bus imports from Türkiye and China

In January-June of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 250 buses worth $20.25 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 2.4-fold in number and 3-fold in value, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During this period, Azerbaijan purchased buses from:
- China: 137 units (+20 times) worth $12.7 million (+42 times);
- Republic of Korea: 50 units (+15%) worth $2.57 million (+15%);
- Türkiye: 20 units (+10 times) worth $1.81 million (+6 times);
- Germany: 11 units (-66%) worth $1.78 million (-17%);
- Uzbekistan: 16 units worth $776,000 (no supply a year earlier).
In 2024, 59% of the 405 buses imported to Azerbaijan came from China.
