Azerbaijan expenditures on sugar imports up by 43%

Last year, Azerbaijan imported $196.783 million worth of sugar and confectionery products, $58.774 million (42.6%) more than in 2020, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
Last year, Azerbaijan exported 59,133 tons of sugar and confectionery products for $33.029 million, which is 1,510 tons (2.5%) less than a year ago, and $5.611 million (%20.5).
During the reporting period, imports of sugar and confectionery products accounted for 1.68% of Azerbaijan's total imports, and their exports accounted for 0.15% of total exports.
