Azerbaijan begins supplying pasta to four countries

Azerbaijan exported 5,557 tons of pasta products (except couscous) worth $2.8 million in 2023, Report informs.
As indicated in the data from the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan, this is 2.4 times more than the indicator of 2022 in volume and 2 times more in value.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 2,406 tons (13% more than a year ago) to Georgia worth $1.5 million (+15%), 2,562 tons (+102 times) to Iraq worth $1.2 million (+97 times), 103 tons to Saudi Arabia worth $78,400, 70 tons to Turkmenistan worth $50,400 (there was no supply a year ago), and 38.9 tons to Canada worth 29,300.
In 2023, marking the first instance in 13 years since official foreign trade statistics became publicly available in 2011, Azerbaijan commenced pasta exports to several countries. The exports included 22.3 tons to Kazakhstan valued at $12,800, 48 tons to Iran totaling $28,600, and shipments to both Canada and Saudi Arabia.
