Azerbaijan begins importing boats, motor boats from three countries

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 299 boats and motor boats worth $3.6 million, Report informs via State Statistics Committe of Azerbaijan.

Compared to the indicator of 2022, the imports grew by 3.7 times in number and 2 times in value.

Last year, Azerbaijan bought 17 units (+89%) of boats from the US worth $3.3 million (+2.1 times), 172 units (+3.4 times) from China worth $100,000 (+3.3 times), 71 units from Portugal worth $63,600, 14 units from Italy worth $52,700 (no supply a year ago), 4 units (+2 times) from Türkiye worth $41,300 (+2.4 times).

In 2023, for the first time since official statistics on foreign trade in Azerbaijan began in 2011, the country imported boats and motor boats from Belgium (1 unit valued at $10,500 US), Ukraine (1 unit valued at $1,800), and Portugal.
