Azerbaijan becomes main supplier of organic fertilizer to Georgia

In January-August of this year, Georgia imported 3,479 tons (+12%) of (organic) fertilizers worth $580,000 (-2%) from Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) .

Thus, Azerbaijan ranks 1st among the countries (8) that supply organic fertilizers to Georgia.

During the reporting period, Georgia bought 3,657 tons of organic fertilizers worth $767,000 from foreign countries, which is 7.2% less and 6% more than a year ago, respectively. In particular, Georgia received 98.84 tons worth $125,900 from Türkiye, 51.8 tons worth $25,700 from Italy, 5.1 tons worth $16,720 from Latvia, and 21.3 tons worth $6,130 from the Netherlands.
