The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan in January-July this year amounted to $586.89 million (9.1% more than 2020).
According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, in Georgia's total trade turnover, Azerbaijan with its 7,8% share ranked fourth among the neighboring country's main trading partners after Turkey, Russia, and China.
In the first seven months, exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan amounted to $295.3 million (22.7% more than last year). So, Azerbaijan ranks third among Georgia's main export partners, after China and Russia, with a 13% share in Georgia's total exports.
The neighboring country imported $291.5 million worth of goods from Azerbaijan, 1.8% less than a year earlier. Azerbaijan is Georgia's fifth-largest importer (5.6% share) after Turkey, Russia, China, and the United States.
