Azerbaijan plans to submit its next Voluntary National Review on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals to the UN in 2024, and in this regard, an appeal has already been addressed to the Economic and Social Council of this organization, Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy, said at the meeting of the Joint Steering Committee on the implementation of the Document of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for 2021-2025.
According to him, the experience of effective cooperation with the UN will be continued in preparing this review:
"Our country, the first in the region and one of the 10 countries in the world, to submit a Voluntary National Report to the UN High-Level Political Forum 3 times embodies the importance attached to the commitments made under the SDGs."
The deputy minister emphasized that after Azerbaijan joined the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development", more than 40 state programs, strategies and action plans adopted in the country were integrated into the SDG, and the process of project alignment is currently being continued.
