Azerbaijan and China discuss expansion of partnership within Middle Corridor

Azerbaijan and China discussed expanding their partnership within the framework of the Middle Corridor.

The director of Baku International Sea Trade Port LLC, Eldar Salakhov, met with the Chinese Ambassador to Baku, Lu Mei.

The company told Report that, during the meeting, the guests were provided with detailed information about the port's infrastructure capabilities, achievements made in recent years, and the volume of cargo transportation between the two countries.

They also discussed the development of bilateral cooperation and opportunities to expand the partnership within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor).

Salakhov emphasized the strategic importance of the Baku port as one of the key transit centers of the Middle Corridor and noted the importance of joint efforts to ensure more efficient and faster cargo flows from China to Europe.

Ambassador Lu Mei highly appreciated the potential for Chinese companies to utilize the Middle Corridor and highlighted the importance of leveraging existing capacities to further strengthen trade and logistics ties.
