Azerbaijan, Airbus mull prospects of expanding economic cooperation

Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Executive Vice-President and President for Europe of Airbus Wouter Van Wersch discussed the opportunities presented for foreign companies in Azerbaijan, the business environment, as well as the prospects of expanding economic cooperation, Report informs, referring to the ministry.

The importance of the contract signed by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL) with Airbus within the framework of the renewal of the country's aircraft fleet was emphasized. It was noted that the new aircraft to be purchased in the framework of cooperation with Airbus will boost the efficiency and competitiveness of Azerbaijan’s national air carrier and ensure a high level of passenger comfort.
