The play 'A drop of sun, a breath of wind and a little love' dedicated to the topic of gender equality has been staged in Baku.
According to Report, the event is organized with the support of the Embassy of Latvia in Azerbaijan, Embassy of Norway in Ankara and the UN Azerbaijan office.
The event dates to the next anniversary of the adoption of UN Security Council's resolution 1325 on women, peace and security.
Before the play was staged, Latvian Charge d'Affaires in Azerbaijan Vija Busha said that the topic of gender equality is very important for Azerbaijan.
"The problem of selective abortions remains no less relevant," she said.
The play features the life story of three women of different ages which they could have lived had they not become the victims of selective abortions.
An exhibition on gender issues and an international conference 'Women for sustainable future' are also planned to be held in Baku.
