Gobustan Reserve saw nearly 50% increase in the number of visitors last year

Baku. 10 January. REPORT.AZ/ More than 123,000 tourists visited the Gobustan National History and Art Reserve last year, Reserve Director Vugar Isayev said.
Report informs that the number of visitors who came to see the millenia-old rock paintings in Gobustan in 2018 rose 40,000 people (nearly 50%) from the year 2017. He said 58,000 out of 123,000 tourists are the citizens of foreign countries: "They come from more than 20 countries including Turkey, Iran, Russia, Germany, England, Pakistan, China, the United States, Indonesia, Kazakhstan and Arab states. The tourists from exotic countries also visit us sometimes. For example, from Fiji islands and Dominican Republic."
