CinemaPlus hosts a premiere of Lithuanian director's film

Baku. 19 October. REPORT.AZ/ Premium cinema of Azerbaijan CinemaPlus has hosted a meeting with the famous Lithuanian documentary filmmaker Audrius Stonys took place, as well as his film Woman and the Glacier was screened.

Report informs, festival was organized by the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Embassy of Lithuania in our country.

The event was attended by Ambassador of Lithuania to Azerbaijan Valdas Lastauskas, representatives of diplomatic missions, well-known figures of culture and art.

Audrius Stonys spoke about the work on the painting, answered numerous questions.

Notably, the Woman and the Glacier was shot in Kazakhstan. This film is an absolute cinematographic work, which rarely happens in documentary films. Audrius Stonys is the leader of modern poetic cinema in Europe, which is transmitted to the world through his amazing works. This is a film about an amazing person, a Lithuanian scientist Aushre Reutaite, which the director found in the Tien Shan mountains, at an altitude of 3,500 m on the Tuyuksu glacier.

The film was shot for three years, the creative team - director, cameraman Audrius Kemežys and assistant operator had to make four expeditions to the Tien Shan mountains.
