Tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan exhibited in Israel

Azerbaijan's tourism opportunities are promoted at the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM 2024) exhibition held in Tel Aviv, Israel, Report informs, citing the State Tourism Agency.

According to the information, Azerbaijan is represented at the exhibition by a total of 6 local partners, including the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, and Shahdag Tourism Center CJSC.

Mukhtar Mammadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Israel, visited the national stand. Visitors get acquainted with Azerbaijan’s history, rich national cuisine, Slow Food and Slow Wine experiences, traditions, cultural heritage, and sites included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and are informed in detail about various tourism opportunities. In addition, visitors learn about the ancient Jewish heritage of Azerbaijan, which demonstrates the uniqueness of the country's cultural landscape. The visitors will have the opportunity to taste the national sweets and local wines of Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the exhibition, which will end tomorrow, meetings with representatives from Israel and other participating countries and interviews with media representatives are organized.

In 2023, 29,093 Israeli citizens visited Azerbaijan.
