Russia and Azerbaijan have planned several steps to restore mutual tourist flows, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov told journalists in Baku after a meeting with Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, Report informs via TASS.
“Our mutual [tourist] flows are growing, but they have not yet recovered. To achieve this, we have planned several steps related to the mutual promotion of our tourism products in each other’s markets, resolving payment issues, and sharing the tourism potential of the Caspian Sea, which unites us,” Reshetnikov said.
Issues related to the development of cooperation in the field of tourism were one of the main topics of discussion during the visit of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to Azerbaijan on March 5-6.
As a result of the negotiations in Baku, Russia and Azerbaijan signed a roadmap for the development of tourism in 2024-2026.
