Ministry representative: Azerbaijan works on creation of "halal tourism"

Baku. 3 March. REPORT.AZ/ The Ministry of Culture and Tourism is carrying out works to create "halal tourism" in Azerbaijan.

Report informs, head of the tourism department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Aydin Ismiyev said.

According to him, it is important to create standards for "halal tourism", as the number of tourists coming to Azerbaijan from Muslim countries is gradually increasing.

A. Ismiyev added that in connection with the flow of tourists, the priority remains to build new hotels: "It is planned to build two- and three-star hotels. In total, 30-35 hotels are built every year. Before World Cup 2020 in Azerbaijan, a large number of hotels will be built in the country’’.

According to him, new hostels open in parallel in Azerbaijan: "Standards are now being prepared for the hostels in the ministry. Prices must determine the market. "
