Chairman of Azerbaijan's State Tourism Agency Fuad Nagiyev has met with Ambassador of the UAE to Azerbaijan Mohammed Al Blushi and discussed with him the current state and prospects for the development of tourism relations between the two countries, Report informs referring to the State Agency.
At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on expanding cooperation in the field of tourism, promoting an increase in mutual visits, introducing a visa-free regime between the two countries, and opportunities for investing companies from the UAE in the tourism sector in Azerbaijan.
In the first half of this year, 18,884 UAE citizens visited Azerbaijan, which is 23% more than in the same period last year.
Currently, there are direct flights to Azerbaijan from the cities of Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi 50 times a week.
