Azerbaijan, Northern Cyprus mull tourism ties

A business meeting was held between the Azerbaijan Travel Agencies Association (ATAA) and the Tripholi company from Northern Cyprus, dedicated to the restoration and development of tourism.

Report informs, citing ATAA, that the purpose of the event, involving representatives of local travel companies and hotel chains, was to expand cooperation with foreign countries to support the recovery and development of tourism in the post-pandemic period and to promote an increase in the number of tourists by organizing mutual study tours.

Chairman of the Board of ATAA Rufat Hajiyev noted that new destinations and countries are opening up new opportunities for tourists. He noted that the expansion of mutual tourist ties with Northern Cyprus would make a great contribution to the development of tourism and invited tourists from this country to visit Azerbaijan both in the winter and summer months for a closer acquaintance with Azerbaijan. The Chairman noted that representatives of the tourism industry are always ready to cooperate with tourism companies in Northern Cyprus.

The representative of Northern Cyprus in Baku, Mustafa Kamal Bayazbayram, said that during his stay in Azerbaijan he visited most of the country's tourist regions and highly appreciated the tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan. He noted that the beautiful nature, hospitable people, and rich national cuisine of Azerbaijan always appeal to tourists.
