Deputy chairman of State Committee: Azerbaijan enjoys complete freedom of religion

Complete freedom of religion is ensured in Azerbaijan, everyone is treated with equal respect in the country, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Siyavush Heydarov told reporters in Hadrut, Report informs.

He noted that in addition to the far-sighted policy of President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the courage of the army, the unity of the people and religious denominations operating in the country also played an important role in the liberation of the occupied Azerbaijani lands.

Heydarov added that during the Second Karabakh war, the Armenians tried to present it as a religious war to the world, but thanks to the policy of the president, the unity of representatives of religious confessions and the information war, Armenia's plans failed.
