Putin to visit Kazakhstan

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) in October to participate in the CIS summit and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Report informs citing Russian media.

"Our leader is expected to participate in the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia - it will be in Nur-Sultan. And there, in Nur-Sultan, the CIS summit will be held", Yury Ushakov, aide to the President of the Russian Federation, told reporters at a briefing, adding that this may happen on October 12-14.

Ushakov noted that during Putin's stay in Kazakhstan, "it is planned to hold a summit meeting in the Russia-Central Asia format."

Ushakov went on to say that "the CSTO summit will be held in Yerevan in November, and the EAEU summit will be held in Bishkek in December."

"Our president is also expected to attend," he said. In September, the Russian leader will travel to Samarkand (Uzbekistan) for the SCO summit, and in October he will visit Kazakhstan, where he will also take part in a number of meetings.
