Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan believes it is advisable to expand contacts with Lithuania in all areas, particularly in the defense industry, Report informs referring to the Turkish Presidential Office.
Erdogan made the statement during a telephone conversation with Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Lithuania, as well as regional and global issues.
Erdogan wished Sinkevicius success in his new position and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of relations between the two countries.
The Turkish leader also stated that Ankara continues its efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
Erdogan also wished Lithuania success during its upcoming presidency of the European Union.
