Armenia's CEC invalidates voting results at another polling station

Armenia's Central Election Commission (CEC) has declared voting results invalid at another polling station, Report informs via Armenian media.

The case concerns polling station No. 12/13 in the village of Abovyan in Ararat Province's Artashat community. The voting results were annulled because ballot paper No. 8, for the National Democratic Pole, was missing at the polling station. According to the election commission's protocol, 809 people voted there.

The ruling Civil Contract party received the most votes, with 602. The opposition Armenia and Strong Armenia blocs received 67 and 71 votes, respectively.

On June 11, the CEC annulled the voting results at two polling stations, in Yerevan and Syunik, during an extraordinary meeting.

Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, has called for a second round of parliamentary elections in Armenia.

The elections in Armenia were held on June 7. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's ruling Civil Contract party received 49.825% of the vote.
