Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone call with US President Donald Trump, discussing bilateral relations between Türkiye and the United States as well as regional and global developments.
According to Report, citing Haber Global, Erdogan stressed the importance of diplomacy amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States and said Türkiye would continue supporting efforts to promote peace.
The Turkish president emphasized the need to make the fullest possible use of diplomatic channels to address tensions between Tehran and Washington.
The leaders also discussed the latest developments in Gaza and the peace process. Erdogan said that as efforts are being made to move to the second phase of the Gaza peace process, the Israeli leadership has intensified actions against Palestinians.
He said Türkiye would continue to support efforts to rebuild Gaza.
