US to stay in Syria

Baku. 17 January. REPORT.AZ/ "ISIS has been destructed. However, we will stay in Syria," US Vice President Mike Pence said.

"ISID has been disrupted. Our servicemen return home. However, we will remain in the region to make sure that ISIS does not show its hateful side. We will maintain the achievements of our soldiers and coalition partners, " he said.

US Vice President issued this statement hours after ISIS arranged a terrorist act in Manbij. He did not mention the incident in his statement.

Notably, 15 people, including 4 US servicemen were killed as a result of the explosion on January 16 in the Syrian city of Manbij. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the blast.
