Consumers in Ukraine's Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions were left without electricity as of the morning of June 9 following attacks by Russian armed forces, Ukraine's national power grid operator, Ukrenergo, said.
According to Interfax Ukraine, cited by Report, emergency repair work has already begun in areas where the security situation permits.
In addition, adverse weather conditions left more than 40 settlements in the Sumy and Kyiv regions without power. Repair crews are currently working to restore damaged power lines.
According to the system operator, electricity consumption across the country was 3.5% lower on Tuesday morning compared to the previous day. Ukrenergo attributed the decline to clear weather conditions, which have boosted the efficiency of household solar power systems and reduced pressure on the energy grid.
