Magnitude 5.7 quake hits coast of Japan

An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 has been recorded off the coast of Japan, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, Report informs referring to TASS.

The epicenter was located 55 km northeast of Hirara city, home to 34,300 people. The outbreak lay at a depth of 28 km.

There have been no reports of a tsunami threat yet.
