Baku. 26 October. REPORT.AZ/ "Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan is taking steps to improve the legislative framework. Azerbaijan has amended the laws to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals. As the state budget is socially oriented, it creates conditions to achieve these goals, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova said.
Report informs that Bahar Muradova was speaking in an interactive discussion on the role of youth, women, parliament, civil society and other stakeholders in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals within the 6th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
She noted that every year special attention is paid to the allocation of funds from the budget for the protection of the rights of vulnerable groups in society.
Muradova said Azerbaijan takes all necessary steps to achieve Sustainable Development Goals: "Civil society and the state should work together to achieve success. Public councils activate in all state structures in the country. Azerbaijan is in a state of war, and the situation of refugees and internally displaced persons in the country is better than the refugees in other countries."
