Baku. 25 December. REPORT.AZ/ "We will try to intensify the activity of 'Azerbaijani Community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan'. We will increase our activity during the events hosted in Azerbaijan, especially in international conferences and symposiums to be held abroad. We will continue our efforts to expose the false information of Armenians," new chairman of the Azerbaijani Community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan Tural Ganjaliyev told Report.
Ganjaliyev noted that the "Azerbaijani Community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan" Public Union is ready for a dialogue with the Armenians: "Unfortunately, Serzh Sargsyan's regime in Armenia did not allow such a dialogue. We hope that we will establish contacts with the Armenian community and begin constructive dialogue in the new stage during the settlement of the conflict. Our main goal is to liberate Azerbaijani lands from occupation, we aim to ensure that internally displaced persons return to their homeland and we will restore the destroyed historical, cultural and religious monuments. We aim to return to our native homes and live together with the Armenian community and we are always ready for this. Of course, all these can be possible within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan."
Notably, the Second Congress of the Union was held on December 20 this year. The new Board of the Union (Community) was approved at the congress. According to the decision of the congress, the employee of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry Tural Ganjaliyev was elected chairman of the community, while Asif Jahangirov and Elchin Ahmadov were elected deputies chairman. Before Tural Ganjaliyev, the Union was headed by Bayram Safarov, head of the Shusha District Executive Power.
