The ongoing diplomatic efforts on the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan give a glimmer of hope for progress, Spokesman of the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric said at a briefing, Report informs, citing UN's official website.
"And you saw yesterday afternoon, Miroslav Jenča, Assistant Secretary-General in the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), briefed Council members on the developments in the South Caucasus, specifically the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Dujarric said.
Jenča noted that a glimmer of hope for progress in the ongoing diplomatic efforts has appeared, Dujarric said.
