Ukrainian MP: Only international community can influence Armenia through sanctions

Only the international community can influence Armenia in this case, Yuriy Kamelchuk, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the ruling Servant of the People party, told Report's Eastern European Bureau, commenting on the large-scale provocation of the units of the Armenian Armed Forces last night in the Dashkasan, Kalbajar and Lachin directions of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border.

"The method is obvious – sanctions," he said.

According to him, there is a revanchist mood in Armenia, although this country does not have the strength and world support now:

“If they are subject to legal norms and international laws, this situation may be resolved.”

According to him, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has already stated that it is following the latest developments on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Kamelchuk said it is unfortunate that during the full-scale war in Ukraine, unleashed precisely by Russia, Yerevan decided to turn to that very aggressive Russia for "support."
