Turkish Deputy FM: It is important to keep Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on international agenda

Chairman of the Center for Analysis of International Relations Farid Shafiyev and Head of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh Tural Ganjaliyev met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey Sedat Önal as part of the visit to Ankara.

Report informs citing the Center that Turkey-Azerbaijan relations, future prospects of cooperation, as well as the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict were discussed during the meeting.

He said it is important to keep this conflict issue on the international agenda.

Speaking afterwards, Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the International Relations Analysis Center, thanked Turkey for its support for Azerbaijan. He also said that the two countries have always supported each other especially on sensitive issues. The chairman of the Center highlighted the rhetorical speeches made by the Armenian leadership recently and that Turkey's reaction as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group is very important in this regard.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey Khazar Ibrahim also attended the meeting.

During the visit, the delegation also met with the Chairman of Center for Strategic Research at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ufuk Ulutaş. The meeting discussed issues of cooperation between the two brain centers, including a joint action plan within the Memorandum of Understanding signed last month.
