Azerbaijan is rebuilding Karabakh at an accelerated pace, investing a lot of effort, Swedish traveler Terese Bergfors, who is on a visit to the liberated Azerbaijani territories as part of a group of travelers led by Club 100 board member Bengt Hildebrand, told journalists, Report informs.
She added that she was most impressed by the incredibly beautiful landscape of Karabakh. “It’s very encouraging to see how quickly things are rebuilding here, it’s an incredible process,” she said.
Talking about the destruction, Bergfors compared the ruins in Karabakh with the destruction in ancient Pompeii.
She also touched on the problem of minefields: “This is a great danger to people. Wars end, but deadly mines remain. Such tragic situations are not forgotten.”
