Special Representative of President: No analogue of such mine pollution in world as in Aghdam, Fuzuli, Jabrayil

"The level of mine pollution in Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Jabrayil has no analogues in the world," Emin Huseynov, Special Representative of the President for the liberated territories of the Karabakh economic region (except Shusha), said at a scientific-practical conference "Karabakh: a new landscape from the South Caucasus to the world" organized by the New Azerbaijan Party on the restoration of the liberated territories and the "Great Return" program.

According to the special envoy of the President, the hated enemy in Karabakh has dealt such a blow to historical and cultural monuments, economy, and ecology that it will take many years to eliminate its consequences: "The level of mine pollution in Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Jabrayil has no analogues in the world. The 30-year occupation coincided with a period of global processes, during which revolutionary events took place. If this had happened in the Middle Ages, the outcomes would not have been so obvious. Restoration of completely destroyed areas is an extensive process. Innovative projects are being implemented to carry out this work in a systematic and phased manner. The creative work is carried out by Ilham Aliyev based on a single strategy. All processes are regulated."

He noted that the glorious victory created new prospects for development: "President Ilham Aliyev achieved such a glorious victory that the native lands returned to our people. Sustainable socio-economic development has become the country's biggest goal. The situation in Azerbaijan and the acts of vandalism committed by the enemy for 30 years are unprecedented and have no analogues in the world. Conflicts in other countries have also caused destruction, but no city has been wiped out."
