Now we are witnessing a historic event - a great return to Karabakh, the first stage of the resettlement of residents, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for Zangilan district Vahid Hajiyev said, Report informs.
Vahid Hajiyev noted that immediately after the war, by order of President Ilham Aliyev, large-scale restoration and construction work began in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur:
“Quite large-scale infrastructure projects are being implemented in Zangilan - railways and roads are being built. The airport will be put into operation shortly. First of all, the village of Aghali in the Zangilan district, built on the principle of a smart village, was restored. This month, 41 families will be resettled in Aghali. Resettlements are expected in the coming months.
Today, there are 1,457 people registered in the village of Aghali. Of these, 1,357 people expressed a desire to return there.
Today, ten families of 58 people are moving to the village of Aghali. A total of 201 people will move over the next five days.”
