Armenian missile attacks on Ganja are war crimes against civilians, Chairman of the Board of the Center for International Relations Analysis Farid Shafiyev said at the seminar “War crimes against Azerbaijan,” Report informs.
He reminded that on October 17, two years passed since the city of Ganja was subjected to the fifth rocket attack by the Armenian armed forces during the Second Karabakh War.
The houses in the shelling area were completely destroyed, the residents were left under the rubble. As a result of the shelling, 15 people were killed, more than 55 civilians were injured.
Another bloody war crime of the Armenian Armed Forces against the Azerbaijani people is the genocide in Khojaly in 1992.
“Former President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is responsible for these atrocities, said that the purpose of the genocide was to frighten and create panic among the population. We saw the same motive in the atrocities committed by Armenia in the second Karabakh war against the civilian population of Azerbaijan,” Shafiyev said.
