Russian MFA: Trilateral agreements - uncontested roadmap for reconciliation between Baku and Yerevan

Russia considers the trilateral agreements an uncontested roadmap for the process of reconciliation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said at a weekly briefing, according to Report's Russian bureau.

"We have repeatedly stated that we are working on the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan in a trilateral format - Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan - based on the statements of our countries. We consider the set of trilateral agreements an uncontested roadmap for the process of reconciliation between the two peoples. This work has its own tracks, the dynamics of the negotiation process, formats and additional tools. We are not trying to accelerate anything, we are following the plan," Zakharova said.

She noted that convergence of the approaches of Azerbaijan and Armenia always remains a priority for Russia.
