Zakharova noted that the Russian side welcomes any mediation efforts that do not run counter to the efforts of Moscow: "We have repeatedly said that we welcome any initiatives to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia that do not run counter to the efforts of Russia, and which do not duplicate and, moreover, do not undermine these efforts, and France’s activity in this direction is well known to us."
