Russian expert: Many points of trilateral statement not being fulfilled

“Despite the signing of a trilateral statement by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia, we see that many of its points aren’t being fulfilled. This is the obvious fault of the Armenian lobby, which is widespread not only in Russia but also in the West,” military expert, editor-in-chief of the Natsionalnaya Oborona magazine Igor Korotchenko told the Russian bureau of Report.

“The point concerning the opening of the Zangazur transport corridor hasn’t yet been fulfilled. The process of demarcation and delimitation of borders hasn’t been carried out either,” Korotchenko said.

The expert stressed that Azerbaijan is a triumphant and winner in the Karabakh war, but much will still be decided in the coming year: “For this, the parties need an expert and analytical opinion on the implementation of the points of the trilateral statement. The future of the region has already been outlined - it is peace and cooperation. The practical steps are extremely important in this situation.”
