Report presented on Armenia's appropriation of Azerbaijan's historical and cultural heritage

The Center for Analysis of International Relations has prepared a report entitled "Armenia's appropriation of Azerbaijan's historical and cultural heritage," Report informs, citing the Center.

The document examines various aspects of the policy pursued by Armenia to appropriate Azerbaijan's historical and cultural heritage, both in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan and in Armenia.

The first part of the two-part report examines the looting of Karabakh's cultural and historical heritage, including museums and cultural monuments and illegal archeological excavations in the area. The second part of the article analyzes the "Armenianization" of monuments and the falsification of Azerbaijani heritage. Part of the document was prepared based on sources provided by the Ministry of Culture.

The reporting also used a legal assessment envisaged on the article "Protection of Cultural Heritage in Armed Conflict" written by Hans-Joachim Heintze, a professor at Bochum University in Germany.
