It is necessary to give an additional impetus to the activities of the trilateral working group on unblocking communications in the region, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Sochi, Report informs.
“The purpose of this meeting, as I see it, is to ensure the implementation of all our agreements that were reached in 2020 and 2021. You have repeatedly pointed out that Russia has played a prominent, important role in resolving the conflict. And now our peacekeeping contingent is fulfilling its mission as it should be done. I am grateful to you for these assessments,” Vladimir Putin told President Ilham Aliyev.
“And today, of course, we will have to talk about the situation that has developed today, look for ways to resolve issues that have not yet been resolved. And in this regard, I would also note an important component of an economic nature: we have created a tripartite working group, which is headed by deputy prime ministers. They have advanced far enough in terms of resolving the issues that we talked about earlier, two years ago. Here, too, it is apparently necessary to give additional impetus. I know that the Azerbaijani side is working quite actively in this vein,” the Russian president said.
