Protest on Khankandi-Lachin road enters its 67th day

Despite the frosty weather, a protest action on the Khankandi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan has been going on for 67 days. Eco-activists are very active just like in the first days of the demonstrations.

According to Report's employee working at the scene, the rally, which began on the morning of December 12 last year, continued on the night of February 16. Participants of the action demonstrate firm will and perseverance.

Safety rules are observed, no incidents were recorded during the night.

Eco-activists traditionally started the day with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by songs in the spirit of patriotism.

Volunteers and activists taking part in the demonstrations chant slogans: "Azerbaijan is the owner of its mineral resources!", "End environmental crimes!", "Stop ecoterror!", "Protect nature!", " No to ecocide! Yes to monitoring."

They invariably demand an end to ecological terror in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan.

The protest participants do not hinder the traffic on the road.
