Political analyst: Azerbaijan offers safe life to Armenians in Karabakh, those who don't want it may leave

“We offer a safe life to Armenians in Karabakh, those who don't want it, may leave," political analyst Fikrat Sadikhov told Report.

He said that Azerbaijan's position complies with international practice: “Each state gives rights to the minorities living in its territory and ensuring their security, protecting interests, and prioritizing the territorial administration. We are doing it and we are ready to do it in the future. Armenians used the Lachin road for other purposes. Weapons, terrorists, and non-humanitarian aid were transported through the road. Of course, we cannot agree to that. Therefore, who don’t want to live peacefully on our land, they can leave our territory without any obstacle.”

The expert noted that Azerbaijan should ensure the removal of about 10,000 illegal armed groups located in Karabakh: “The issue that worries us more is their presence in Karabakh. We have no choice but to evict them from our territory, and we will definitely evict them. The separatists there still rely on patrons who have interests in the region. The main issue for us is our own interests and we will act within these interests. If we have reached this line, we must go till the end. For now, we are strictly warning through diplomacy. The world community, international organizations, Armenia and ethnic Armenians living in Karabakh should know that the Armenian residents of Karabakh should live in accordance with the Azerbaijani laws.”
