Opening of Fuzuli airport - demonstration of peaceful life’s revival in Karabakh – expert

The opening of Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli airport is a sign that Azerbaijan is committed to providing citizens expecting to return to Karabakh a place where they may peacefully resume their lives, Jason Epstein, president of Southfive Strategies LLC, a public affairs consultancy based in Washington and New York, told Report.

This is more highlighted by the fact that the airport will be soon open, less than one year after construction began, he noted.

“By continuing to undertake these investments in Karabakh, the government in Baku may also be significantly increasing the chances of longer-term economic and political stability in and around that region,” he said.

Earlier, a representative of Azerbaijan Airlines told reporters that Fuzuli airport will be an international airport and can host aircraft weighing up to 400 tons. The first test flight is scheduled for Sept. 5.
