Ombudsman: No obstacles for transportation of humanitarian cargo on Lachin-Khankandi road

Protestors have never created an obstacle to the transportation of humanitarian cargo on the Lachin-Khankandi road and are not creating now, Sabina Aliyeva, the Commissioner for Human Rights of Azerbaijan (Ombudsman), said in the appeal to the international human rights organizations regarding the war and environmental crimes committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan.

"Dozens of cars move freely in both directions on this road, open for humanitarian purposes," he said.

In connection with the groundless allegations mentioned in the statement published by the Ombudsman of Armenia these days, the appeal said that the aim of the peaceful action continued on the Lachin-Khankandi road by civil society representatives and social activists who care about environmental protection is to prevent the illegal exploitation and looting of Azerbaijan's natural resources by Armenia and the serious environmental pollution caused by those activities.
